HUMMIMGBIRD. THE NICE SHOT/COLIBRI. UNA BELLA IMÁGEN

Hummingbirds fly flapping at high frequency: about 80 flaps per second. That allows them to fly backward or sideways or remain static in the air. Another feature of hummingbirds is that they have eight pairs of ribs. The birds are usually only six pairs. It seems silly, but I imagine that this has much to do with its ability to flap at that speed.

This meeting took place in Santiago de Atitlan (Guatemala) is a hummingbird species common in Guatemala forests, fell in the afternoon and there was barely light, but the backlight turned out wonderful for me to capture their flapping fast. Sometimes we released photographs in the series knowing that some will be well. I was clear from the moment of pressing the shutter. I think it was a nice snapshot.

Los colibríes vuelan aleteando a una alta frecuencia: unos 80 aletazos por segundo. Eso les permite volar hacia atrás o de lado o permanecer estáticos en el aire. Otra característica particular de los colibríes es que tienen ocho pares de costillas. Los pájaros tienen por lo general solo seis pares. Parece una tontería, pero imagino que eso tiene mucho que ver con su capacacidad para aletear a esa velocidad.


Este encuentro tuvo lugar en Santiago de Atitlan ( Guatemala) es un colibri de la especie muy común en los bosques guatemaltecos, caia la tarde y apenas quedaba luz, pero el contraluz me resulto maravilloso para captar su aleteo rápido. A veces una lanza fotografias sabiendo que en la serie alguna quedará bien. Yo lo tuve claro desde el momento de apretar el disparador. Creo que quedó una linda instántanea.
