CICONIIDAE. WHITE STORKS/CIGÜEÑA BLANCA (ciconia ciconia)

Spring has fully entered in Spain, the abrupt changes of time and in light of the days lengthen, we are giving the idea that winter should definitely go. There is fun in our trees, the birds breed their offspring. The swallows, who are passing through, take the opportunity to get their broilers. The new leaf on every tree is green and the fields are filled with colors.

And that is when the storks, residents and who wanted to stop in our towns and cities to take advantage of nests splashing each church roof, each light pole each of our fields and the branches of the trees. Once installed and with both parents occupy the nest, the orchestra begins peaks claks that resonate in the narrow streets of the peoples of our country. It is the marriage rite of the spouses. In La Rioja, the town of Alfaro, have a lookout because there are thousands, and there are people on the peninsula that boasts not having his bell topped with a nest of these beautiful birds. It's time to take the little ones to see them and begin to realize the importance know about our biodiversity.
